Twitter is a wonderful thing. Without it we wouldn’t have an insight into the complex and primarily Nandos based friendship of Gary Woods and Mustapha Dumbuya. And perhaps more pertinently for this site, nor would we have access to as many willing volunteers for our T’Other Side u’t’ Fence feature in which we put an opposition fan on the spot. Our latest interviewee is Ryan Parrish from Leeds United blog The Scratching Shed, which unfortunately gives this feature a title set to disappoint internet scanning gardening fans for weeks to come.Name: Ryan Parrish

How do you feel about Saturday’s game?
I’m looking forward to it, we need to get back to winning ways asap and I think Saturday is the perfect opportunity. We still owe you one for the play-off final defeat so it should be a good game. There’s sure to be goals though on our current form.
We’re approaching the end of the Championship campaign, how do you view Leeds United’s season thus far?
I’m over the moon with how well we’ve done so far. After getting promotion last year I was expecting a season of consolidation but it has exceeded all of my expectations. It’s great to be in with a shout of the play-offs but I feel promotion may be too early for us.
Where do you think this Leeds team is strongest?
definitely up front, we’ve got plenty of options in attack with top scorer Luciano Becchio, super-sub Davide Somma, Billy Paynter and Ross McCormack who are both yet to score. Snodgrass and Gradel have also been great on the wings so going forward is definitely our strength.
What do you consider the weak point of Leeds as being?
The defence. On paper we have a strong, experienced defence but they just seem to leak goals week in week out. The number of times we’ve conceded 2 or 3 goals a game this season is ridiculous. If we are serious about promotion then the defence definitely needs sorting.
Who’s the key player the Rovers should be daunted by?
The man of the moment is probably Max Gradel, he puts in a shift every week no matter how the rest of the team are performing. He’ll cause problems to any defence and has bagged his fair share of goals too.
Which Doncaster player are you most wary of?
Probably Billy Sharp if he is fit. We all know that he’s capable of scoring goals and I don’t fancy watching him up against our defence.
Who would you say is Leeds’ current team scapegoat?
The whole back four at the minute, in particular George McCartney. He’s had a decent season but his performances of late have been very poor and he doesn’t seem to look interested half of the time.
Are you happy with Simon Grayson?
Yeah I think he’s a great manager. I can’t speak highly enough of him. His record since he took over is exceptional and as long as he’s in charge, I’ll be happy.
Song or chant to listen out for?
Marching On Together; our anthem will be ringing around Elland Road before kick off.
Finally, a match prediction?
I’m going for a 2-1 Leeds win.
Ryan and his fellow folk at The Scratching Shed asked me to contribute to their regular Away Fans feature in return. And being the kind of carefree moonlighting bloke I am, I agreed. You can see my responses to their questions on The Scratching Shed here.
