Heff is for Fit Again

Rovers’ promotion hopes have gained a welcome boost with Paul Heffernan’s return to training. Last season’s top scorer has been out since November with an injury sustained in the away fixture at Port Vale. Heffernan limped out of that game towards the end of the first half, with what had originally been thought a fractured ankle, however further treatment revealed it to be ligament damage.

Heffernan, last season’s top scorer, was scheduled to be back on the training ground, but not one to let an illness or injury pass him by the forward managed to contract shingles. With the forward now over his illness he could be back giving Rovers another attacking option within a few weeks.
