The Futures Bright

Amidst the doom and gloom of Rovers fans comes a ray of sunshine that while the present may be dull, the future certainly looks bright. Rovers Youth team have been making steady progress under Paul Wilson and after a 1-0 win over Boston United on Saturday Doncaster top the Puma Youth Alliance North East Conference going into the Christmas break. Rovers top the table with seven wins from their thirteen games thus far and lead the table, a point clear of Lincoln City.

Speaking to the club’s official website Youth Team Manager Paul Wilson is understandably delighted with his side. “It is a massive morale boost for the lads going into the second half of the season. The lads fully deserve it because they are doing so well this season and have turned out some great team and individual performances.” The youth team’s next match will be away to Mansfied Town on Friday 11th January.
