Doncaster Rovers Belles 2-3 Leeds United

Doncaster Rovers Belles remain in touching distance of the wrong end of the FA Tesco Women’s Premier League after a 3-2 Yorkshire derby defeat at the hands of Leeds United. It was the West Yorkshire side who took the lad in on Keepmoat Stadium Pitch 2 via a goal from Nicole Emmanuel after half an hour. However, the Belles drew level early in the second half through Carla Cantrell.

Within minutes though Leeds had retained the lead through Amanda Barr and then Katie Halthen secured the points with United’s third ten minutes from time. Vicky Exley pulled a late goal back for the Belles but it proved too little too late with the visitors holding out for a 3-2 win.

As part of the rivals revamp Viva Rovers will now be giving more coverage where its due with updates on the Belles, so look out for more reports in the near future.
