Mills Back Over the Hills

No matter how tedious the headline of this story it can’t disguise the disappointment in the news that Rovers on loan defender Matt Mills has returend to his parent club Manchester City after suffering an injury in training. Details on the nature of the injury to the twenty-year old defender are sketchy with Rovers official site simply stating that Mills ‘has torn cartilage’. As a result the player has returned back over the Penines (hence the hills reference, you see) to Manchester to see a specialist and receive treatment.

Prior to his injury the defender had enjoyed a relatively successful loan spell at the Keepmoat Stadium with seventeen starts in Rovers’ back line and a couple of goals – and from corners too! I know its cheesy but f*** it, Viva Rovers wishes Matt a speedy recovery. There I’ve done it now.
