Alexandra the Wait – FA Cup Draw

Rovers have discovered their FA Cup fate should they win the replay with Oldham as Crewe Alexandra our the name out of the hat, or rather plastic ball out of the shiny plastic column, to be paired with Rovers. The Alex, who reached the second round with a 2-1 win over MK Dons will point their Sat Nav in the respective direction of either Boundary Park or the Keepmoat Stadium on Saturday 1st December. Having overturned Crewe 2-0 at home already this season Rovers will be confident that should they get past Oldham in the replay a fortnight away, then progression to the third round is a distinct possibility.

The draw in full can be found below. Notable ties include the match between Leo Fortune-West’s Cambridge United and Weymouth which ensures that there will certainly be at least one non-league team in the third round, and a home tie for Yorkshire’s giant-killers thus far as Harrogate Railway host Mansfield Town.

FA Cup second round draw in full:

Oxford United vs Southend United
Swindon Town vs Forest Green Rovers or Rotherham United
Oldham Athletic or Doncaster Rovers vs Crewe Alexandra
Darlington or Northampton Town vs Walsall
Cambridge United vs Weymouth
Millwall vs Barrow or Bournemouth
Stockport County or Staines Town vs Peterborough United
Bradford City vs Tranmere Rovers
Torquay United vs Cheltenham Town or Brighton
Notts County vs Havant & Waterlooville
Dagenham & Redbridge vs Kidderminster Harriers
Port Vale vs Chasetwon
Leyton Orient or Bristol Rovers vs Rushden & Diamonds
Huddersfield Town vs Carlisle United or Grimsby Town
Burton Albion vs Barnet
Bury vs Exeter City
Luton Town or Brentford vs Lincoln City or Nottingham Forest
Horsham vs Swansea City

Harrogate Railway vs Mansfield Town

Ties to be played the weekend Sat/Sun 1st/2nd December
